As an independent consultancy Apex provides independent and impartial advice on all forms of technology led change.

Our experienced consultants work with the client’s IT division to develop IT architectures and roadmaps that support their new target operating model. We work with our clients at any or every stage of the full cycle of:

  • assessment of the current IT strategy and footprint
  • development of requirements through structured analysis and use of case documentation
  • supplier selection and assessment
  • business case development
  • and, ultimately, technology implementation

Because we are independent consultants, client’s trust us to work with them to design and assess IT solutions to meet their business needs. We can work with our client’s to provide a detailed definition of the preferred design for each component in the IT architecture, including software applications and infrastructure.

Our consultants draw on their experience of implementing many different insurance technologies for a broad range of insurance companies.  This allows us to share our understanding of the risks, costs and benefits, with the client, before they embark on any technology initiative. That experience includes implementing core insurance software systems for corporate, retail and general insurance in both brokers and insurance companies, and solutions for the life and pensions sectors.

In addition to understanding the technologies that support core insurance functions such as customer management, underwriting, pricing, placement, policy handling, credit control, claims management and finance, we also have considerable experience in supporting technologies around document management, scanning, workflow and reporting.
